 Square Four :: One tiny amp does two jobs with aplomb. The Electrodrone Square Four is a 4 watt class "A" tube amplifier that can used either as amp head or as preamplifer. The Square Four features an all-tube, all-analog design and built using only premium quality components. The Real Deal Nowadays it's common for companies to offer digital modeling in pedals, amps and even guitars. 'They' say it'll sound just like a vintage tube amp. But who are they kidding? The Square Four gives you real cranked tube amp tone at manageable (even bedroom) volumes--accept no chintzy, cheesy digital substitutes. Road Warrior The Square Four gives you cranked amp tone even in small venues. If you use a clinically clean 100 watt amplifier, the Square Four can give you the sound of bona fide power tube saturation a low volumes. Studio Stalwart Savvy producers have long known that a low watt single-ended tube amp like the Square Four is the easiest way to achieve a truly huge guitar sound. Great sounds can be had using the Square Four in preamp mode where you can cascade its tone with another amp or using it in amplifier mode to drive a speaker cabinet (4 ohms-or-greater). Simple Controls Gain: In preamp mode this controls the level of gain. In amplifier mode this functions as the volume control. Master: In preamp mode this controls the output volume. This control is bypassed when using the Square Four as an amplifier. Tip: If using the Square Four with a footswitch (not included), set the Gain control for desired sound then set the Master control to unity gain with your bypassed signal. Input: Connect your instrument to this jack Output: In preamp mode connect to other amplifier or mixer input. In Amplifier mode this jack is bypassed. Footswitch: In preamp mode you can connect a standard 1/4" on/off footswitch (Not included. Any model should work such as the Roland FS1 or a standard Fender, Peavey or Marshall one-button footswitch) to use the Square Four as a true bypass effect. Speaker: The speaker jack works as a switch. When nothing is plugged in, it's in preamp mode. When a speaker cable is connected the Square Four functions as an amp head. Tubes: 6eu7, 6v6. Price:
